Finishes range from clear matte to wire-brushed, hand-scraped, and reactive-stained looks. If you already have solid hardwood elsewhere in the house, we can usually get close enough on stain that the two read as one continuous floor.

Our installers assess your subfloor first - moisture testing on concrete, joist inspection on plywood, flatness gauges everywhere. We then recommend floating, glue-down, or nail-down based on what will perform best. Engineered Hardwood - frequently asked questions
Yes - if the wear layer is 3mm or thicker, it can be sanded and refinished once or twice. Thinner wear layers (1-2mm) should be screened and recoated rather than fully sanded.
Water-resistant, not waterproof. It tolerates the occasional spill, and our humid climate, far better than solid wood, but standing water from a dishwasher leak or burst pipe should still be cleaned up promptly.
Yes - this is one of engineered hardwood's biggest advantages. We follow manufacturer guidelines on subfloor temperature and acclimation to prevent gapping.
Floating is faster and easier to repair. Glue-down feels more solid underfoot and is quieter. Over a slab we typically recommend glue-down; over plywood, either works well.
